Visiting Artist Lecture: Performing Ecosex

» Posted

Performance Studies Dept. of NYU

Annie Sprinkle and her partner/collaborator, Beth Stephens, have developed a new field of research which explores the places where sexology and ecology intersect—SexEcology. They create experimental theater, visual art, documentary film, lead ecosex walking tours and workshops, all aiming to make the environmental movement a little more sexy, fun and diverse by shifting the metaphor of “Earth as mother” to “Earth as lover.” Annie Sprinkle will share some of the work she and Beth have been doing, and stimulate discussion with the audience. Once you learn more about the budding ecosex movement, you just might discover you are an ecosexual too. Performance Studies venue seats only 100 people so please RSVP to this event through the Facebook link below.
